Getting Around Town
To and From the Airport:
The Sheraton Read House does provide shuttles to and from the Chattanooga Airport for $10. To reserve a spot on the shuttle, please contact Mercury Shuttle at 423-266-4121 at least 24 hours before you arrive.
To and From the Wedding:
We will be providing charter buses to get to and from the wedding on Sunday night. The wedding itself is about an hour away from the hotel, in Sweetwater, so we would encourage everyone to take advantage of the free ride and avoid getting lost in the wilds of Tennessee (kidding! It’s almost all Interstate driving) by taking the buses. We’ll have more logistical information soon, along with driving directions to the wedding if you’re bringing your own wheels.
Electric Shuttle Bus:
The Chattanooga Area Regional Transit Authority operates a free shuttle bus route around downtown Chattanooga. The buses run every five minutes, and there is a stop at the Read House Hotel, so it’s a very convenient way to get around downtown. You can download a map to see all of the stops along the route.
Cars:
If you think you’re going to want to be able to really explore East Tennessee outside of downtown Chattanooga and the wedding (and it’s beautiful!), we’d suggest renting a car. Cabs, etc. are not really used all that much so if you are the type that wants to come and go on your schedule, you’ll probably want your own vehicle. There is parking at the hotel for an additional fee. We’re trying to work out a group rental discount code, and will post it here as soon as we do.
